Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Aerospace Engineering

After completing BSC (Hons.) in Physics and M.Phil in Microelectronics Engineering and Semicondcutor Physics from Centre of Excellence in Solid State Physics, Univerity of the Punjab, Lahore, Dr. Shoaib Anwer went to Beijing, where he joined the Beijing Key Laboratory of Construction-Tailorable Advanced Functional Materials and Green Applications as a PhD scholar. He has completed his Ph.D. Degree in Material Science and Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2017, this school is rank among top 50 schools in the world in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. After defending his PhD title successfully, he joined the Khalifa University as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2017. Dr. Shoaib has made significant contributions in Materials Science and Nanotechnology, and published quality research articles in peer-reviewed SCI journals under American Chemical Society (ACS), Nature, Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, and IOP publishing group in last four years. His main research interests focus on the synthesis of 2D nanomaterials and metal-semiconductors hetero-nanostructures for applications in energy conversion and storage, particularly in Photocatalysis, Electrocatalysis, Water Splitting Hydrogen Evolution, EMI Shielding, Capacitive Deionization of Saline Water, Batteries, and Supercapacitors etc. Dr. Shoaib Anwer is also serving as a potential reviewer for several journals under ACS, IOP, Wiley, Springer and Elsevier etc. The publication record of Dr. Shoaib Anwer can be found in the link given below:
