CTL helps students in becoming independent thinkers and lifelong learners through one-on-one and small group tutoring as well as group study sessions, workshops and courses.
The CTL offers tutoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Writing, and various engineering topics based on student needs.
Peer tutoring is a teaching strategy where high achieving students tutor their peers who need extra support. To serve as a peer tutor, peer tutors must be doing well academically, committed to the role, kind and helpful. It is a 10-week course on the foundations of teaching practice to support graduate students and postdocs at every stage of their teaching experience.
Leading with Passion and Knowledge certificate course
The CTL is collaborating with the SSD to offer a 7-week course on the foundations of leadership to enhance student knowledge about leadership as a stepping stone to a successful academic and professional career.
The CTL offers students workshops on how to develop grit (passion and perseverance for long term goals). According to Angela Duckworth, it is one of the first indicators of student success.
CTL offers to students the essentials of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bootcamps in collaboration with local agencies such as the Emirates Foundation.
