Dr. Nadeem Tariq Beigh is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Smart and Intelligent Sensors lab
(SiS-labs), Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. He is working on the design/development/characterization of novel N/MEMS resonators for multi-transductional and multi-modal energy harvesting and sensing applications for self powered systems. Previously, he was a Research Associate at i-labs, school of electrical and electronics engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was working on the incorporation of MEMS into THz switching for a high-frequency, high-bit-rate applications. He graduated with a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He won the "Best Thesis Award" for is exemplarary work on sustainable sensors. He was a part of the Interdisciplinary Microsystems Lab (IML), headed by Dr. Dhiman Mallick. He specifically worked towards the development of novel solutions to power futuristic IoT nodes. He has intensively worked on the bottom-up development of photopatternable nano-composites for mechanical energy harvesting via dual piezoelectric/triboelectric properties that can be integrated to machine learning for intelligent sensing systems. His primary research interests is in the development of standalone sensor system for smart health care system within the paradigm of industry 4.0.
Dr. Nadeem has an excellent publication record and has managed several projects at graduate and post-graduate levels. He is well known in the sensors community for his product oriented research on developing self-powered sensor system with appications in elderly supervison, diabetic assesment, activity monitoring, multi-transductional sensing, etc.
