The Materials Testing Laboratory provides a safe and well-resourced laboratory facility that meets the needs of Khalifa University’s research community in the area of material sciences and characterization. The Material Testing Lab provides support and a wide range of techniques. The facility is open to trained and authorized users, five days a week. We provide training to students, faculty, and other members of the Khalifa University research community, on how to safely and effectively use sensitive equipment.

Trained and certified users can access equipment from 9am to 5pm, Sunday till Thursday.
All Materials Testing Lab users must be fully trained and authorized (certified) to use the equipment in the lab facilities. We offer training courses for all of the equipment. If you have to cancel your training, please do so at least 48 hours in advance. Users must comply at any time to KU health and safety policies. No users will be allowed in the lab if they did not attend the EHS training for lab access. The lab instructor must be notified immediately of any unsafe conditions observed. All equipment damages must be reported promptly, with the date and time of the incident to the facility’s lab manager.
