Dr. Shakti Singh received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA. He joined the faculty at Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE, in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department, in 2010. He pursues research related to semiconductor devices and technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), crowd sensing and sourcing, blockchain, IoT sensors and networks, and UAV-based systems.
Dr. Singh's expertise and experience lie in the areas of high-performance silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) based devices and integrated circuits (ICs), sensing technologies and sensor networks, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with applications in diverse fields such as Crowdsensing, Crowdsourcing, Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), Electric Vehichles (EVs), Event Monitoring and Detection, Environmental Monitoring, Nuclear Safety and Security, Local Network Topologies, Preventive Maintenance, and Supply Chain Management. Dr. Singh has published in several reputed journals and has given presentations in prestigious conferences. He also has broad experience in developing and teaching new electrical and computer engineering courses and laboratories. He has developed and worked on many engineering projects facilitating the needs of the community, including government and nonprofit organizations.
He has over 21 years of experience in advising, mentoring, and teaching students ranging from undergraduate to graduate, from different disciplines of engineering. Currently, he is supervising and mentoring multidisciplinary graduate and undergraduate students, postdocs, and research associates on externally- and internally-funded research projects as PI, co-PI, and supervisor. Dr. Singh has also received teaching awards from Khalifa University, UAE and Purdue University, USA.
