Biography

Dr Sivaprakash Sengodan is Assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at Khalifa University. Previously he was an Imperial College Research fellow (ICRF) in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London and has PhD in Energy engineering (UNIST, South Korea, 2015).  My research is focused on understanding key ionic and electronic transport processes in electrochemical devices, including electrolysers, membranes and fuel cells. To achieve this, I will use isotopic labelling to study protonic and oxygen ion diffusion in ceramics, in combination with X-ray and neutron scattering approaches to enable correlation of functional performance with structure evolution.
