Biography

Nora has over 15 years of combined clinical experience in healthcare and academia, specializing in Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care. She has served in prominent healthcare organizations in the region, and has held the positions of NICU RN, Clinical Preceptor, Clinical Educator, Clinical Learning Specialist, and AHA Life Support Instructor. Currently, she holds the esteemed position of Course Senior Specialist, Clinical Skills at Khalifa University, College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Nora is actively involved in the design, development, implementation, and assessment of clinical skills, task training, and experiential learning sessions, and works closely with KU CELS Team Members to ensure effective delivery of course learning objectives. Her role spans across course design, development, syllabi and session planning for Practice of Medicine I & II Courses across the Pre-Clinical years. Nora has completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing (CCNE Accredited) at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and has completed her Residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She has contributed to prominent research and publication alongside the Armstrong Institute for Quality and Patient Safety at Johns Hopkins. Nora is also an active American Heart Association Life Support Instructor, spanning across BLS, PALS, and NRP disciplines. Nora’s devotion to healthcare education and her commitment to providing a holistic care experience are apparent in her role as a nursing and healthcare professional. She diligently works to foster a lifelong learning journey, ensuring safe and effective learning that ultimately leads to the delivery of optimal patient care.
