Project Description
The proliferation of connected and embedded devices has played a critical role in the development of the next generation IoT, and, consequently, the diffusion of low power devices. The sustainability of such networks entails energy-aware devices that are capable of self-sustainable operations by harvesting and recycling energy from various sources. However, these networks face challenges due to security vulnerabilities and weak authentication mechanisms. Authentication plays a crucial role in verifying user identities and granting network access exclusively to legitimate nodes.
The main objective of this project is the development of lightweight security solutions taking in account the resource constraints, and the development of a testbed to verify the developed wireless communication and signal processing algorithms and rapid prototyping.
