Biography

Khalid Alhammadi received his B.Sc. degree (1992) in Electrical Engineering from UAE University and M.Sc. degree (1998) in Control and Systems from Vanderbilt University, USA. In 2006 he received his PhD degree from North Carolina State University, USA. He served as a Director of Alumni Relations and Continuing Education and A/Chair of the Electrical Engineering Department at the Petroleum Institute. His research interest is in the area of instrumentations and system control. His research focus is on projects related to oil industries in the feild of pipe inspection and monitoring of scale deposition using Graphene based nano-sensors, investigating electromagnetic waves propagation in underground oil pipe, multiphase flow separator of oil and gas and electrical impedance tomography for multi-phase flow meters.
