Daria earned her Bachelor’s degree with honors in Mathematics from the University of Wyoming, USA and her Master’s degree in Mathematical Finance from the University of Alberta, Canada. For the past five years, she has been teaching mathematics and statistics at the University of Alberta, where she quickly became one of the youngest course captains. Over the past three years, Daria has successfully coordinated multi-section Calculus courses, managing up to 8 sections and 1,200 students, including organizing exams for all of them simultaneously.
Daria has worked tirelessly to make math both approachable and fun—though she often wonders if her students would agree. She is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping students build confidence and find success in mathematics.
In addition to her teaching, Daria introduced "Math Battles" to the gifted schoolchildren summer camps at the University of Alberta. The initiative was a huge success and she was asked to organize it again.
