Biography

A BSc Biotechnology degree holder from University of Sharjah, UAE, and also hold a MSc degree in Molecular Medicine from University of Reading, UK. I served as a research assistant in the Biotechnology Center (BTC) at Khalifa University under the supervision of Dr. Habiba Al Safar, and worked on investigating the genetic assciation of coronary artery disease in type 2 diabetes mellitus in UAE subjects. Worked as well with Dr. Wael Osman in the Biological Sciences department on investigating gestational diabetes mellitus in Emirati Women, and have contributed successfully to several research projects under their supervision. During my MSc, I investigated the pathogenesis of LRRK2 gene in Parkinson's disease with Dr. Kevei at University of Reading. I also hold a clinical experience as I worked at Mafraq Screening lab for Covid-19.
