Biography

Mr. Muhammad Asim Iqbal is working as a Senior Lab Specialist in the Department of Earth Science at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, UAE. My main activities are to teach geophysics and geology lab courses in advanced reservoir characterization, reflection seismology, seismic data processing, and interpretation, Earth System Science, and Physics of the Earth, Reflection Seismology, Solid Earth Geophysics, and Introduction to Geology and Geophysics. Assist faculty with student field trips of the above geophysical courses for undergraduate Earth Science students and help faculty in geophysical research projects. Activities also include maintaining and supporting the technical computing environment with software support, Hardware, Data Management, IT Administration, and budget PRs. Additionally, Maintain the department's assigned teaching and research labs.

Worked at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Thuwal, Saudi Arabia as a Computer Programmer in R&D in the Seismic Imaging Lab supervised by Dr. Tariq Al Khalifah (Physical Science and Engineering Division, KAUST) using ProMAX/SeisSpace, MADAGASCAR and SAGE for two years.

Worked in CosmoSeis Petroleum Services Abu Dhabi, UAE as a Seismic Data Processing Geophysicist on different 2D/3D and transition zone land/marine seismic data processing projects using ProMAX/SeisSpace and Tsunami Suite for two years.
