Biography

Dr. Israr is a postdoctoral fellow in the Aerospace Engineering department, specializing in the optical properties of materials. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Prior to this, he earned a Master’s degree in Physics from Heidelberg University in Germany. Before pursuing studies abroad, he completed his Bachelor’s and first Master’s degrees in Pakistan, majoring in Physics.

During his Master’s program at Heidelberg University, Dr. Israr gained valuable research experience at InnovationLab GmbH, where he conducted his thesis research over the course of a year. Additionally, he has served as a lecturer in Physics at the Construction Technology Training Institute in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Dr. Israr has received numerous accolades throughout his academic journey, including the Merit Scholarship during his M.Sc studies, the British Council IELTS Scholarship Award in 2014, and the Elite Young Researcher Award in 2023 from Khalifa University. These honors reflect his dedication to excellence and his significant contributions to the field of materials science and engineering.
