Dr. Akbar Ali is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai) in India. He obtained his M.Sc. degree from Aliah University, Kolkata, India in 2018. His current research interest is Multi stimuli-responsive bionanomaterials and hydrogels for emerging healthcare applications. His research focuses on Drug delivery, Medicinal chemistry,Biomaterials Development and Bionanotechnology. Specifically, his PhD thesis focused on Glucose-responsive hydrogels for smart insulin delivery. His extensive research interests include biomaterials, drug delivery, wound healing in vitro and in vivo models, biophysical chemistry, bioengineering, mechanobiology, sensing, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry,
bionanotechnology, bioelectronics, cell culture, and cancer research. Till now he has published several peer-reviewed research papers and book chapters in reputed international journals such as Advanced Science, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, ACS Applied Bio Materials, The Journal of Physical Chemistry B. IEEE Sensors Journal. etc He has participated and delivered oral presentations at various international conferences.
