Biography

Abhijit Nag received his M.Sc. and PhD from the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, on September 30, 2019, under the guidance of Prof. T. Pradeep. He worked on the synthesis, crystallisation, applications of noble metal nanoclusters, and the extraction of noble metals during his PhD. After PhD, he worked in the same group as a postdoctoral fellow (Oct 2019- July 2021) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. During his next postdoc (Aug 2021-April 2023) at the University of Edinburgh, he worked on the recovery of precious metals from electronic waste under the supervision of Prof. Jason B. Love and Prof. Carole Morrison. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow (May 2023- till date) at the Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi working on nanomaterials.
