Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Dr. Mahmoud Meribout received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiegne, Compiegne, France, in 1985 and 1995, respectively. He was with the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, and the NEC Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, from 1995 to 2000, where he was involved in several projects related to embedded systems design. In 2008, he joined the Electrical Engineering Department, Petroleum Institute (Now Khalifa University of Science & Technology), Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he is currently a Full Professor. His current research interests include embedded systems, imaging systems (THz, MPI, optical, electrical, and magnetic tomography), instrumentation, and multiphase flow metering, and enhanced oil recovery using electrical mean.

Dr. Meribout was the recipient of the NTT Best Award for his research and development efforts in the areas of embedded systems design and imaging systems in 1998.
