Dr. Emad Al Hseinat is an Assistant Professor of the Chemical Engineering Department at Khalifa University. He has several publications in well-known scientific journals, conference proceedings, and recently he has filed four patents. Moreover, within a short time of his employment (three years), he has managed to attract internal and external research grants that total more than AED 5 million and built his lab for novel separation processes.
Within the past few years, Dr. Al Hseinat has been working on enhanced magnetic separation processes; he has been driven by fascinating findings during his work in the lab. One of his main goals now is understanding the magical effects of magnetic solvent structure and solvent-solute interaction. He believes that this effect, if tuned properly, can lead to the enhancement of different separation processes and open the way for new research direction such as magnetically controlled material synthesis and chemical reactions.
