Ms. Aala Awad Idriss Mohamed is currently a Lab Specialist in the Earth Sciences department at Khalifa University of Science and Technology. Her core area is teaching different aspect of geoscience mainly geology laboratory for different courses. Such as Reservoir Characterization, Earth Materials, Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, The Evolving Earth, Sedimentology, Earth Systems Sciences, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy and Paleontology. Activities also include maintaining the department's assigned teaching and research labs, department support, and preparation of laboratory budget and PRs.
Ms. Aala worked in different research fields in Geoscience and Petroleum engineering. Mainly in reservoir characterization and modelling, rock types determination, geology and geophysics for almost 7 years at Khalifa University of Science and Technology. Working in various project in both geoscience and engineering gave her a good experience in integration and linking both disciplines to better understand the bigger picture.
