Dr. Aymen Laadhari obtained a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Grenoble Alpes University, France. He possesses extensive experience in conducting interdisciplinary research projects within international teams at prestigious institutions in France and Switzerland.
Following a postdoctoral role at the Institute of Mathematics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, EPFL) in the Chair of Modeling and Scientific Computing, he transitioned to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich, Switzerland), initially as a postdoc before being promoted to Senior Researcher. He contributed to collaborative projects between ETH Zurich and University Hospital Zurich, supporting project management and working on the development of computational tools for cardiovascular modeling. His research has allowed providing predictions on the postoperative effects of minimally invasive, trans-apical aortic valve implantation on hemodynamics.
Dr. Laadhari joined Khalifa University in January 2021 as an Assistant Professor in Mathematics. His expertise lies in mathematical and numerical modeling for a wide range of biomedical applications and problems, including biological flows, multiphase flows, fluid-structure interactions, Eulerian methods, and optimization.
