Ricardo Fonseca is a research scientist in the field of atmospheric sciences at Khalifa University working under the supervision of Professor Diana Francis. After completing his PhD on extreme European weather regimes at the University of Reading, United Kingdom, he joined the Earth Observatory of Singapore as a research fellow on regional climate modelling with a focus on the tropics in particular on Southeast Asia. He then joined the Group of Atmospheric Science at the Luleå University of Technology in Sweden as a researcher where he continued to work on numerical modelling and data analysis, including on planetary atmospheres, before joining Khalifa University.
