Dr. Aizhan Shomotova is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology at Khalifa University. Her interdisciplinary work spans the social sciences and business, focusing on human behavior, digital well-being, higher education studies, employability, and the integration of AI in teaching, learning, and research. She previously served as a faculty member, course coordinator, and committee chair at Zayed University. Dr. Shomotova was a doctoral visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She has published more than 20 papers in top-tier Scopus-indexed journals and serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Further and Higher Education, a Guest Editor for a Q1 special issue in Frontiers of Sociology, and a reviewer of top journals and an editor of academic books.
