Biography

Martin Andreoni is an adjunct professor at Khalifa University and a Principal Researcher at the Secure Systems Research Center (SSRC) within the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

He previously worked as a researcher at Samsung R&D Institute Brazil.

Dr. Andreoni earned his Ph.D. jointly from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ) and Sorbonne Université (LIP6), France, in 2018. He completed his Master's in Electrical Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ in 2014 and his Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de San Juan (UNSJ) in Argentina in 2011.


Dr. Andreoni plays a significant role in the academic and professional community. He served as the Workshop Chair for the 22nd International Conference on Applied Cryptography and Network Security (ACNS’24) and co-chaired the inaugural organizing committee of SPICES (formerly USWC/HTESP) for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, and 2024). His contributions extend to serving on the Technical Program Committee (TPC) for various national and international conferences, including SBRC, SBSeg, IEEE NoF, IEEE CsNet, IEEE CIoT 2023, ICIN, IFIP Network, and IEEE IWCMC 2023, ICLR 2025. Dr. Andreoni's editorial roles include serving as Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC) and Associate Editor of the Annals of Telecommunications in 2024.


His research interests include Security, Machine Learning, Network Security, and Secure Autonomous Systems.
