SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UAE NATIONAL STUDENTS
FULL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UAE NATIONAL STUDENTS (New Eligibility Requirements)

Full scholarships are provided to UAE National students that meet the following EmSAT admission requirements:

  • A minimum score of achievement in each of the following EmSAT subjects:
    • Math 1250
    • Physics 1000
    • Computer Science 1000 (Java, C++, and Python)
    • Arabic 700
    • one elective from Chemistry or Biology 1000
    • English 1400 to be fully accepted into freshman year

    Full scholarships cover the following:

    • 100% of tuition fees are provided to UAE national students.
    • Housing fees that cover double occupancy for students residing outside of the city of Abu Dhabi.
    • Weekend transport fees for those eligible students not receiving a stipend.
    • Monthly stipends are also provided to eligible UAE national students based on their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Details are as follows. This is subject to conditions stipulated in the General Scholarship Terms and Conditions.

    A limited number of full scholarships are available for non-national students with outstanding academic performance and personal qualities. These scholarships are very highly competitive.



    President’s Scholarship

    The President’s Scholarship is our most prestigious tuition grant reserved for students on the basis of their academic achievements and excellence.

    • Expat students from within the UAE have to obtain “Full Admission” at the point of application, which is a minimum score of achievement in each of the following EmSAT subjects: 
      • Math 1250,
      • Physics 1000,
      • Computer Science 1000 (Java, C++, and Python),
      • Arabic 700, one elective from Chemistry or Biology 1000,
      • English 1400 to be eligible for Expat Full Scholarship “President’s Scholarship”.

    International students from outside the UAE must obtain competitive scores depending on the high school curriculum they are applying from (i.e. SATs, APs, IGSCEs, IB Curriculum, or any other international curriculum).

    Scholarships are highly competitive and therefore meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee being awarded with the scholarship as these are limited opportunities.

    There is no separate application to submit for Scholarships at Khalifa University. Your application for admission will be used to review your eligibility for scholarships. You will be contacted if further information is required.

    To be considered for the President’s Scholarship, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher during their studies at Khalifa University.

    Khalifa University Scholarship

    A number of partial scholarships are available for international students with excellent academic performance and personal qualities.

    •  Expat students within the UAE have to obtain “Full Admission” at the point of application which is a minimum score of achievement in each of the following EmSAT subjects:

      • Computer Science 1000 (Java, C++, and Python),
      • Arabic 700,
      • one elective from Chemistry or Biology 1000,
      • English 1400 to be eligible for Expat Partial Scholarship “Khalifa University Scholarship”.

    SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHILDREN OF KU FACULTY AND STAFF

    Khalifa University offers full scholarships to qualifying children of KU faculty or staff, who are full-time employees at the time of their children’s admission to the university, and should continue to be a full-time employee at KU throughout the period of the child’s studies to ensure the continuity of the scholarship.

    Applicants must qualify for full admission into the First Year (Freshman year), as per the university standards. In addition, applicants must not be older than 19 years of age upon the commencement of their undergraduate program.

    Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher during their studies at Khalifa University. Below are the scholarship benefits for children of KU faculty and staff:

    ADNOC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

    The ADNOC Scholarship Program is a prestigious accolade granted to a select number of talented individuals, following a competitive application process.

    Established in 1974, ADNOC continues to nurture the next generation of UAE nationals by investing in their higher education.

    This fund was developed to empower high potential UAE nationals with training across various technical disciplines. These subjects are chosen in line with the vision for advancement of the industrial and economic objectives of ADNOC and the UAE.

    What We Look For

    The application and interview process are designed to identify the most brilliant UAE National talent, whose work ethic and core values are in line with those of ADNOC. 

    Prospective scholars should have already received a conditional letter of acceptance from our list of approved universities, for one of the following majors:

    • Chemical Engineering
    • Petroleum Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Geosciences

    Candidates will also be requested to undertake a medical assessment to assess suitability for their chosen discipline

    You will also need to confirm that you have no obligations which may conflict with your studies. For those who are eligible for national service, this should include the ability to provide a military service release letter.

    Undergraduate Program Requirements

    • Has attended a school recognized in terms of academic excellence by the Ministry of Education (MoE); Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) or Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA) High school certificate, or equivalent
    • Minimum achievement of 85% in each science and math subject
    • Average final high school examinations results of 85% or above to pursue scholarship for domestic studies (within the UAE)
    • Average final examinations results of 90% or above if you intend to study overseas
    • TOEFL (or equivalent) score of 80 and above / IELTS 6.0 and above / EMSAT – English 1400 and above, Math 1250 and above and Physics 800 and above (for Domestic study only)
