Khalifa University of Science and Technology (KU) is set to welcome a cohort of students currently enrolled in the National Service, as part of a collaborative initiative between KU and the National Service and Reserve Authority (NSRA). This partnership aims to empower National Service recruits by offering them a platform for in-depth learning, particularly in scientific and technical domains. Through this initiative, a maximum of 30 participants will be selected for a program spanning from the start of the Spring semester to the end of the summer semester. This opportunity will allow participants to explore a world of knowledge and innovation while simultaneously preparing themselves for a promising future filled with opportunities for growth and development.

 

Requirements to Join the Program

Participants should be qualified to be admitted to KU at the undergraduate program as follow:

Minimum score of achievement in each of the following EMSAT subjects:

  • EmSAT English 1400 or IELTS (Academic): 6.0 OR TOEFL iBT: 79
  • EmSAT Math 1250,
  • EmSAT Physics 1000,
  • EmSAT Arabic 700,
  • EmSAT Computer Science (Java, C++, and Python) 1000,
  • One EmSAT elective: EmSAT Chemistry 1000 or EmSAT Biology 1000.

 

Program Elements

  • Courses Enrollment: Participants will enroll in two courses at the freshman level, providing them with foundational knowledge in their chosen field of study.
  • Training: The program offers training in various areas, including advanced programming through the College of Engineering, technical courses facilitated by the Khalifa Innovation Center (KIC) and Etisalat-BT Innovation Center (EBTIC), professional development sessions conducted by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), and introductory research visits coordinated by the Research Office and various Research Centers. These components aim to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for their academic and professional development.
