Mr. Ebrahim Jafar Alahmed Vice President, Finance and Business Development

Ebrahim Jafar Alahmed is a qualified CPA and a finance leader with over 20 years of executive-level experience in accounting, finance, budgeting and planning, in addition to oversight on IT, procurement, contracts, and facilities.

He served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Khalifa University since 2010. In 2018, his scope was updated and he became Vice President of Finance and Business Development.

In his current role, Mr. Alahmed is responsible for maximizing the University’s revenue by enhancing and developing business and revenue streams. He plans the University’s multi-year budget and develops financial projections in order to support the University’s leadership in making strategic recommendations. He monitors KU’s financial performance, and oversees the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practices to support all financial and administrative matters affecting the University.

He effectively collaborates with a variety of stakeholders in the development and advancement of finance and business initiatives to include executive leadership, board, government, suppliers, customers, investors, auditors, and other key stakeholders.

Before joining KU, Mr. Alahmed gained valuable experience at Etisalat, where he moved up the ranks from Manager of Finance, then to Director of Financial Policies and Processes, then to Group Vice President of Policies and Compliance, and finally to Vice President of Finance. He also served as Chief Financial Officer in a startup company as an overseas assignment.
