Mr. Abdulaziz comes with 20+ years of executive leadership experience. He is seasoned in both strategic and tactical planning, and his core competencies include financial governance, investment valuations, strategic partnerships, financial audit, investment operations, process and control optimization, and compliance within regulatory requirements.
Before joining KU, Abdulaziz has been the Executive Director – Audit Group at Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) for 10 years, responsible for over 300 diverse Government entities & SOEs and was instrumental in building and leading cohesive, cross-functional, multidisciplinary project teams that delivered exceptional financial audits, compliance reviews, and performance assessments.
His noteworthy assignments at ADAA include serving on a Steering Committee as co-chair alongside the Chairman; implementing an Organizational Transformational Plan and Culture Change; and coordinating initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions.
Mr. Abdulaziz holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in both Finance and Economics from Boston University. He is a CFA Charter holder, and has attained the CIA, CGAP & CFSA professional qualifications from the Institute of Internal Auditors. He currently serves on the Audit Committee of the UAE Central Bank, and previously served on several Government entities’ Audit committees and on the Board of Directors for the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR).
