Welcome to KU Musabaqat VI, a prestigious mathematics competition designed for undergraduate students from the top universities in the GCC region. Join us on November 2, 2024, at Khalifa University for a day filled with mathematical challenges, presentations, and an award ceremony.

 

Objectives:

  • Challenge students with complex mathematical problems, fostering critical thinking.
  • Encourage interaction among students from different universities, promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Expose students to diverse mathematical problems, inspiring creativity.
  • Raise awareness and interest in mathematics education and research, encouraging further studies and careers in the field.

Competition Theme:

The Musabaqat competition theme is inspired by Sophie Germain, a remarkable mathematician known for her determination and innovation. This year’s theme not only celebrates resilience and creativity in mathematics but also highlights the struggles faced by women in the field. Participants are encouraged to explore the intersection of perseverance, innovation, and gender equality in mathematics, honoring Germain’s legacy while advocating for greater inclusivity and opportunities for all.

Selection Criteria

Selection Criteria:

  • Maintain a 3.5 GPA in Academic Performance.
  • Recommendation letters from two math teachers.
  • Experience in at least two math competitions.
  • No academic misconduct.
