Research in Options (RiO) is chaired by KU’s own Dr. Jorge P. Zubelli, Professor and Chair of the Mathematics Department, and provides a forum for experts to discuss some of the latest breakthroughs in mathematical research in Applied Mathematics.

This year’s event will bring together international names in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management, including

• Bruno Dupire, Head of Research Bloomberg, who is recognized as one of the most influential quantitative analysts having received in 2008 the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Risk Magazine.
• Marco Avellaneda, Courant Institute, USA, author and editor of several texts on finance, having been awarded in 2010 the title of “Quant of the year.”
