Biography

Dr. Wei Chen is a lecturer of Psychology in the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Khalifa University. She received her PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. She did her postdoctoral research at the Center for Cognition and Brain Disorders, Hangzhou Normal University, China, and New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE. Dr. Wei Chen is interested in researching quantitative characterizations of expert object recognition. Her recent projects investigated the nature of face perception, specifically how holistic processing of faces is dynamic and may be influenced by socio-cognitive factors.
