Dr. Saeed Alhassan holds B.Eng., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (2003), Colorado School of Mines (2006), and Case Western Reserve University (2011), respectively. He is the first recipient of the inaugural Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence in 2017.
Dr. Alhassan’s research activities focus on colloids, polymers, and surface sciences with emphasis on nanocomposites and processing of nanoparticles inclduing graphene and 2D materials. Elemental sulfru is a core research activites in his group with emphasis on finding applications for the yellow element.
Dr. Alhassan has published 130+ journal articles, two book chapters, 7 patents, 9 patent applications, 20 invited lectures, and 80+ conference papers.
