Dr. Raed Jaradat is an Associate Professor in the Management Science and Engineering Department at Khalifa University. He is also an Affiliated scientist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Before joining Khalifa University, Dr. Jaradat was an associate professor with early promotion in the ISE Department at Mississippi State University for eight years. Dr. Jaradat is a current Director at the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering IISE (2020-present) and Editorial Board and department Editor of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Dr. Jaradat received a Ph.D. in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from Old Dominion University in 2014.
His main research interests include systems engineering and management systems, complex system exploration, big data and system of systems, virtual reality, systems simulation, systems dynamics, model-based systems engineering, reliability, and sustainability assessments (i.e., Bayesian network) with applications to diverse fields ranging from the defense environment, smart energy systems, supply chain and port systems to manufacturing industry. His publications appeared in several ranking journals, including the IEEE Systems Journal and the Computers & Industrial Engineering Journal.
Dr. Jaradat's total awarded projects exceed $ 10.5 M, including the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Military Academy Industry, FedEx, Toyota, and other Research Laboratories and industries. Dr. Jaradat also receives prestigious national-level awards, such as Best Paper for the Professional Interest Council 1 (PIC 1) at the ASEE international conference.
