Dr. Radha Kushwaha (Senior Member, IEEE since 2023) commenced her academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2012. She progressed with Master’s degree in Electrical Systems from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, West Bengal, India, in 2014, and earned her Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics, from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), India, in August 2020.
From February 2020 to July 2020, she has worked as a Visiting Researcher with Advanced Power and Energy Centre, Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She has worked with Caterpillar Inc., Bengaluru, India, as Senior R&D Engineer from May 2021 to Oct 2021.
Presently, Dr. Radha is associated with Khalifa University in the UAE as a Postdoctoral Fellow, under the esteemed guidance of Prof Vinod Khadkikar, since October 2021, where she has been part of two projects- CIRA (Competitive Internal Research Assessment) and VRI (Virtual Research Institute) by ASPIRE, UAE. As part of these projects, she has done significant contribution towards new concepts and/or AC/DC & DC/DC topologies for Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging. She has also worked on smart grid station (SGS) power quality improvement project in collaboration with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai, UAE.
She has filed 2 US patents and 2 Indian patents. Till now, she has authored 14 IEEE Transactions, 3 IET Journals and 31 International/IEEE Conferences. Her research interests include power quality, battery charger systems, electric vehicles, and ac–dc and dc–dc power converters.
