Biography

Dr. Nicholas Dimmitt is an Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Khalifa University and has been a KU faculty member since 2011. Previously Dr. Dimmitt held a faculty position in the School of Management at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand for more than 15 years. He is now affiliated with AIT as a Distinguished Adjunct Professor.

Dr. Dimmitt was also a faculty member of universities in Armenia, Bahrain, Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam and the USA. He was Director of the Executive MBA Program at AIT, and earlier was the Chair of the Center for Language and Educational Technology. Dr. Dimmitt earned his PhD in International Education at the University of Southern California. He is a native Californian.

He had the honor of being selected as an ambassador and teacher trainer for the UAE/Stanford Innovation & Entrepreneurship National Curriculum Project and has completed a number of I&E Professional Development courses and seminars at Stanford University. He is the KU coordinator for the required Fundamentals of Innovation & Entrepreneurship course (BUSS 322). Dr Dimmitt is also an editorial review board member for the Athens Journal of Education and has published numerous academic articles in a variety of well-known Humanities and Education journals. Dr Nick’s proudest creations are his two sons; Ray & Rob.
