Motiur Reza Mohammed (Member, IEEE), obtained his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SASTRA University, India and his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP), India. He earned his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, IITBHU, India in Electrical Engineering.
He has experience in designing motors for electric vehicles. Additionally, he has worked on the design of linear induction motors for electromagnetic control of adhesion in the rotary motor-based railways's traction.
He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Power Electronics and Sustainable Energy Research Laboratory, Advanced Power and Energy Center (APEC), Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE, from April 2019 until December 2022. His research was focused on electric motor design and high-gain dc-dc converters for electric vehicle applications.
Since Jan 2023, Dr. Mohammed is associated with Advanced Power and Energy Center (APEC), Khalifa University, under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Vinod Khadkikar. As a part of the project, he is currently working on advanced power converters for fuel-cell electric vehicles and V2V charging.
