Biography

Dr. Mohammad Khaled Shakfa is Assistant Professor of the Physics Department at Khalifa University. Prior to joining Khalifa University, he spent a year as a Visiting Research Scientist at the Phillips University of Marburg. At the same university and at KUAST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology), Dr. Shakfa conducted Postdoctoral Research. In 2015, he received his Ph.D. in Optoelectronics from the Technical University of Braunschweig (TU Braunschweig). He earned his BS degree in Physical Sciences (2005) and his Postgraduate Diploma degree in Solid-State Physics (2006) from Al-Baath University. The research activities of Dr. Shakfa have focused on lasers, optics, and optical spectroscopy.
