Biography

Dr. Mohamed Soufiane Jouini is an Associate Professor in Mathematics experienced in numerical simulations to model rock properties based on X-Ray Computed tomography images. He has a Master in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Sciences in Signal and image processing from The National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, and a PhD in Signal and Image processing from Bordeaux University.

Dr Jouini had several positions in Research and Development centers in industry before Joining Academia. He was research scientist in Digital Rock Physics at TOTAL E&P Research center in PAU, France for the period 2006-2009. Then, he was appointed as Research and development engineer in image processing algorithms for security applications SAGEM SECURITE (IDEMIA) Research and development Center, Paris, France. Also, on Jan 2010 he was hired as Research and Teaching Associate at ADNOC (Petroleum Institute) to work on projects in Digital Rock Physics. On 2014, Dr Jouini was appointed as Assistant professor at Khalifa University in the Mathematics Department.
