Research Projects

Taking advantage of high electron loosing ability of polydopamine, high performance nanocoated bacterial cellulose (BC)-based TENG is reported with seven-times enhanced energy harvesting efficiency as compared to pristine BC. Pristine/nanocoated BC films are found to be bio/hemo-compatible and their different combinations are used to make BC-based TENGs as potential implants. Moreover, single electrode All-BC TENG is developed as an on-body energy harvester, demonstrating properties such as conformability, breathability and degradability.
