Biography

Dr. Biyadgie Ayalew received his BSC degree in Electrical Engineering from Arbaminch University, Ethiopia, in 2010 and his Masters degree in sustainable transportation and electric power system (STEPS), an Erasmus Mundus Program coordinated by the University of Oviedo, in Spain, University of Nottingham, in the UK, and Polytechnique Institute of Coimbra, in Portugal, in 2016. He received his PhD degree in Engineering in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department, Khalifa University of Science and Technology (2022). Currently, he is working as Postdoctoral Fellow with the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. His current research interests include modeling and control of multi-terminal HVDC system for interconnection of ac grids and integration of wind farms.
