Prof. Azzam Mourad is currently the Vice President & Advisor for AI and Digital Transformation and Professor of Computer Science at Khalifa University. He is currently leading the AI Transformation Strategic Initiatives across the Management, Operations, and Academic sectors towards building AI-Empowered University. He is also the founder of the UAE made InstrucTwin, the AgenticAi-Powered Instructor Digital Twin platform for Adaptive Learning, Intelligent Assessment, Tutoring, & Institutional/Regulator Insight. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University Canada, a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Laval University, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Notre Dame University.
Prof. Mourad has almost two decades of academic and industrial leadership experience. He led is currently leading several governmental, industrial and research projects and published in top-tier international venues more than 200 research papers in Applied AI, LLM, AgenticAI, Cybersecurity, Federated Machine Learning, Intelligent Service/ Network/ Computation Optimization and Management in Emerging Technologies. He is on the World’s Top 2% Scientists List published by Stanford University and won several research excellence awards. He has been awarded major international, national, and local grants and investments, has graduated 35 Ph.D. and M.Sc. students, and is currently leading a large team of Professors, Postdoctoral Fellows, Engineers, and Employees in the academic, industrial, and startup sectors.
