Ankit Yadav is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics at Khalifa University, where he began his doctoral studies in August 2022. Under the guidance of his advisor, Dr. Satyendra Thoudam, and co-advisor, Dr. Arjen, his research focuses on the origin and propagation of galactic cosmic rays.
Prior to joining Khalifa University, Ankit completed his integrated B.S.-M.S. degree at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali from August 2017 to May 2022. He majored in Physics with a specialization in Astronomy and Astrophysics. For his master's thesis, he worked on model-dependent cosmological parameter fitting to constrain dark energy.
Ankit's research interests include cosmic rays, neutrinos, and gamma rays. He is also keen to explore cosmology and multi-messenger astrophysics. During his time at IISER Mohali, he was awarded the Merit cum Means Scholarship for his academic achievements.
