Biography

Dr. Abdul Latif (Member, IEEE) received the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical Engineering from Aliah University (A State Government University), West Bengal, India, in 2014, the M.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala, India, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, India, in 2021 with a scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resources Development (M.H.R.D), Government of India. During his Ph.D he received DAAD Fellowship to attend an internship ( Topic: "Smartgrid: Future Carbon Neutral Society") at Technical University (TU) Dresden, Germany. In addition, Dr. Latif has completed a 6 months project at Fukushima Renewable Energy Institute, AIST (FREA), Koriyama, Japan. After completing his Ph.D. from NIT Silchar in 2021, he joined as a Research Associate at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. His research interests include microgrid, wide area control, power system stability, mobile microgrid, renewable energy, and smart grids. Dr. Latif has been selected and received an Award of “Outstanding Reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, 2022”. He also serves on the Editorial Board (Review Editor for Smart Grid) of Frontiers in Energy Research. He serving a Reviewer Member of various international journals and conferences.
