Muaz Al Radi Bio:

Muaz Al Radi is a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant (GRTA) and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering student at Khalifa University. He received his B.Sc. degree in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Sharjah, Sharjah, UAE, in 2020 and his M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2022. During his M.Sc. research at Khalifa University, he contributed to the book titled “Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Applications: Challenges and Trends” published by Springer Link with a chapter titled “Autonomous Inspection of Flare Stacks using an Unmanned Aerial System”. His research is focused on Computer Vision, Vision-based Control, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Robotics.

Wan Abdul Matiin Bio:

  • BSc in Biotechnology, International Islamic University Malaysia.
  • MSc in Water & Environmental Engineering, Masdar Institute (Khalifa University), UAE.

As an education professional, Matiin synergises his science and tech background with a deep curiosity on human learning. Throughout his career in sustainability, education, edtech, and science communication, he has supported various projects and learning cohorts towards success. He especially delights in helping transform learners’ anxiety into agency and frustration into fluency in various skill areas. He now serves the School of Education at Sunway University, Malaysia where he manages the delivery of lifelong learning initiatives (professional education, ODL, and accreditation of prior learning, among others). When travelling, he’s often on the hunt for local books and stories to help him bond with new places and break the ice with strangers
