Dr. Glenda’s Biography:
Dr. Glenda El Gamal is a Senior Lecturer at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi and an intercultural communication expert specializing in academic and technical writing, critical thinking, and STEM communication.
An international leader in applied linguistics, she serves as Secretary General of AILA (International Association of Applied Linguistics), representing 8,000 members across 34 countries. Her work explores how reading, language, and critical inquiry shape thoughtful researchers and responsible innovators.
A certified IELTS examiner and specialist in blended learning, Dr. El Gamal integrates AI literacy and ethics into her courses for scientists and engineers. She is also a frequent moderator of the widely followed KU Pulse podcast, where she leads conversations on communication, scientific research, and global challenges.
