The Thermal Power Lab is equipped with advanced instrumentation and systems designed for in-depth training, experimentation, and analysis in the field of thermal and energy systems. This lab primarily focuses on studying heat transfer, refrigeration, air conditioning, and engine performance, providing students and researchers with hands-on experience in energy-related applications.
This lab is equipped with:
VRV/VRF Air Conditioning Trainer – Designed for training and experimenting with variable refrigerant volume or flow air conditioning systems. Includes a wall-mounted indoor unit, gauges for pressure measurements, and control systems to adjust and monitor cooling parameters.
Omega Dip Cooler RU-500 – This equipment provides cooling, typically for use with other laboratory setups that require stable, low-temperature environments.
Electric Dynamometer Model DG1 – Used for testing and analyzing engine performance, this dynamometer setup includes controls for engine speed, torque, and cylinder pressure measurements.
