Biography

Assistant Professor, Department of Petroleum Engineering

Between his degrees, Dr. Jing Lu was a Petroleum Consultant and Reservoir Analyst with KADE Technologies Inc. and United Oil and Gas Consulting Ltd. at Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and an assistant geologist of Huachuan Oil
and Natural Gas Exploration and Development Company at Chengdu, Sichuan, China.

His main research interest is in the area of productivity analysis and pressure transient analysis with the focus on performance of unconventional wells. He also conducts general research in the area of pressure behavior in low permeability reservoirs, multi-layered reservoirs and naturally fractured reservoirs.

Dr. Lu has published numerous articles in renowned refereed journals and conference proceedings. He also delivered several presentations in international conferences and is the author of three books. Furthermore, he serves as a reviewer for several international journals in the area of energy resources.

Dr. Lu is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics
