Assistant Professor, Department of Petroleum Engineering

Dr. Emad Al Shalabi is an Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from The Petroleum Institute and a Ph.D. degree from The University of Texas at Austin, all in petroleum engineering. His research interests are focused on enhanced/improved-oil recovery techniques (EOR/IOR), and reservoir simulation and modeling. Dr. Al Shalabi has authored and co-authored more than 45 scientific journal papers and conference proceedings. He also delivered several presentations in international conferences. Moreover, he serves as a reviewer for reputable international journals including SPE Journal, SPE Reservoir Engineering and Evaluation Journal, and Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering. He is also an associate editor for Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering. Dr. Al Shalabi is a registered professional engineer in Texas, USA. He achieved a number of educational and research awards. He is an SPE Certified Petroleum Engineer (SPEC) and a professional SPE member since 2006.
