Dr. C. S. Kannan received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, in  1993. Before being an academic, he worked in different industries until 2001. He served as a faculty of the University Science Malaysia, Curtin University, and Monash University before joining the Petroleum Institute as associate professor in 2009 and was promoted to full professor in 2014. He has published numerous articles in renowned refereed journals and conference proceedings. He also delivered several presentations in international conferences and is the author of a few book chapters. Dr. Kannan also serves as a reviewer for a number of reputable international journals.
