In June 2019, Khalifa University placed 38th out of 351 total universities aged 50 years or younger according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2019. Khalifa University also moved up to 11th place in the THE Young Universities: Millennial Universities Ranking, which ranks top institutions founded since 2000.

In June 2019, Khalifa University jumped 47 positions from 315th in the 2019 rankings, to 268th in the QS World University Rankings 2020.

In May 2019, Khalifa University ranked in the top 30 among 417 Asian universities in the latest 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings

In January 2019, Khalifa University ranked 13th out of 442 Universities from 43 countries in 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) Emerging Economies University Rankings.

In November 2018 Khalifa University was placed in the 176-200 band out of over 900 institutions assessed across more than 70 countries in the 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Subject Rankings for Engineering and Technology.

In September 2018 Khalifa University was ranked 1st in the UAE and 2nd in the Arab region by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2019, as well as being ranking top in the categories of Research and Industry Income.

In June 2018 Khalifa Univesity was the top-ranked UAE university, placing in the top 31% of the 1,011 institutions assessed across the world 2019 QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings.

In June 2018 Khalifa University was ranked top in the UAE and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and 33rd overall in the listing of the world’s top young universities in the 2019 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Top 50 Under 50 ranking.

In June 2018 Khalifa University ranked 12th overall in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2018: Millennial Universities Millennial Ranking and 49th in the Young University Ranking.

In June 2018 Khalifa University ranked first in the UAE and 315th globally according to the 2019 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, placing the university among the top 31% of the 1,011 institutions assessed across the world.

In May 2018 Khalifa University ranked 15th in the Times Higher Education (THE) Emerging Economies University Rankings 2018, as well as first among more established universities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

In March 2018 Khalifa University ranked second in the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab World University Rankings 2018, out of 31 universities in the Arab world.

In February 2018 Khalifa University was the only UAE University to reach the listing of the top 40 universities in Asia in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2018, with a ranking of 32 out of 359 Asian universities ranked.

In September 2017 Khalifa University achieved the highest ranking for a UAE institution in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the 2017-2018 period, reaching the 301-350 bracket.

In October 2017 Khalifa University ranked third in the Arab world in the Times Higher Education (THE) subject rankings for ‘Engineering and Technology’, placing in the 201-250 band out of 500 international engineering and technology education institutes.

In 2017 the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR) made the Times Higher Education’s (THE) Youngest Rankings 2017, which evaluated 200 universities around the world that are less than 50 years old, reaching the 101-150 bracket.
