Associate Professor - Health Economics and Public Health Policy and Systems

The Department of Public Health and Epidemiology within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences focuses on a wide array of fields, including health economics, public health systems, infection and chronic disease epidemiology, artificial intelligence use in public health, and precision medicine. The department offers a Ph.D. in Public Health to highly qualified national and international students. 

The Department of Public Health and Epidemiology invites applications for Associate Professor position in Health Economics & Public Health Policy & Systems.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree in Health Economics, Health Systems and related disciplines from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience relevant to the position, out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor. Preference will be given to applicants with strong educational backgrounds from distinguished institutions with a solid publication track record.

The successful candidates will engage in competitive and impactful research, teach graduate courses, supervise and mentor graduate students, and actively participate in the active Khalifa University’s academic community. We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Demonstrated expertise in Health Economics, Public Health Policy and Health Systems.
• Exhibited a strong publication record in top-tier journals.
• Secured competitive research funding and contributed to impactful research projects.
• The ability to foster an environment of intellectual curiosity and research excellence.

The candidate’s CV should include, but is not limited to: Field of Specialization, Citation Data from Scopus and Google Scholar with links, Academic Qualifications, Academic Honors and Awards, Membership of Professional Bodies, Summary of Courses Taught, Participation in Academic Accreditation, Students Supervised by Level, Complete List of Publications, Research Grants Obtained, Membership of Conference Committees, and Membership of Journal Editorial Boards.
