Description

Khalifa University and the College of Computing and Mathematical Sciences seek applicants for

several faculty positions in the Department of Computer and Information Engineering.

We seek applicants who will strengthen our research and education programs in core and

emerging areas of computer engineering, including but not limited to

1. Digital design and FPGA prototyping.

2. Hardware and embedded system security.

3. Neuromorphic computing.

4. Hardware/software co-design of cognitive systems.

5. Hardware accelerators for Artificial Intelligence and Information Security.

6. Quantum computing.

7. Mixed-signal integrated circuit design focusing on AI.

Preferential consideration will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level.

Required Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

2. Record of excellence in research that is commensurate with the applicant’s career

history.

3. Record of excellence in teaching as appropriate to the applicant’s experience.

Additional Qualifications:

1. Outstanding publication record in top journals and conferences in the applicant’s areas

of research interests.

2. Outstanding communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and commitment to a career

of academic excellence and innovation.

3. Demonstrated commitment to curriculum development and innovation in university

education.

4. Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and technology transfer.

Required  Experience

Assistant Professor

Ph.D. + A minimum of 2 years of experience relevant to the position and proven research potential.

Associate Professor

Ph.D. + A minimum of 8 years of experience relevant to the position, out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.

Professor

Ph.D. + A minimum of 10 years of experience relevant to the position, out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor
